Horses eating different types of hay have different vitamin and mineral requirements. The Grass Ration Balancer is formulated specifically for horses consuming grass hay, providing targeted nutrition without unnecessary ingredients.
The recommended dosage of Equine Challenge™ is 2 – 4 oz. daily depending upon the activity level of your horse. For non- performance horses, we recommend 2 oz. per day. For performance horses, horses in training, or pregnant and lactating mares, we recommend 4 oz. per day. Horses previously not on any supplement regimen, we recommend an initial dose of 4 oz. daily for 3 to 4 weeks, adjusting dosage thereafter in accordance with your horse’s activity per standard dosage recommendations.
When feeding Equine Challenge™ , feed no more than 2 oz. at any one feeding with a maximum dosage of 4 oz per day. We recommend splitting Equine Challenge™ doses into a.m. and p.m. feeding times.
If your horse is taking 4 oz. of Equine Challenge™ per day, in order to ensure stable blood levels, it is recommended you feed 2 oz. in the a.m. and 2 oz. in the p.m.
Given the high palatability of our supplements, the majority of horses will readily accept Equine Challenge™ added to their diet. Our grass hay ration balancer has been synergistically formulated to work together for the maximum benefit of your horse. When starting Equine Challenge™ it is recommended you stop all other forms of vitamin and mineral supplementation, in order to avoid interfering with the synergistic balance of Equine Challenge™
When choosing between the alfalfa and the grass formulas, if your horse is being fed 8 lbs. of alfalfa or more per day, you want to order the Equine Challenge™ Vitamins & Minerals for alfalfa fed horses. Horses fed less than 8 lbs. of alfalfa per day will need Equine Challenge™ Vitamins & Minerals for grass/oat hay fed horses. If you feed a hay mix, and if the mix is more than 50% alfalfa, feed Equine Challenge™ Vitamins & Minerals for alfalfa fed horses. When the hay mix is more than 50% grass, feed Equine Challenge™ Vitamins & Minerals for grass fed horses.

My two Morgan mares have been on Equine Challenge Grass, Equine Challenge Probiotics BLAST and Equine Challenge Sand Flush PLUS for seven months now. This year they are slick, shiny and practically glowing with good health. My buckskin looks positively metallic in the sunshine, and my brown mare has gotten so dark that she is constantly mistaken for a black. While they had good hooves before, what they have been growing out since starting Equine Challenge™ is amazingly strong and resilient, my trimmer always has to bring fresh rasps with him now. Manes and tails are full, silky and beautiful, and both girls just have an air of vibrancy about them.

I’m so excited! I had all my horses tested for selenium since starting on Equine Challenge when they were so low, they had selenium shots and…..they all tested on the high end of normal 🙂
I do test my hay and avoid any really high numbers that we get here but other than that, my horses are on the average Equine Challenge Grass vitamin and Mineral dose plus some are on
Equine Challenge Joint and Equine Challenge Probiotics but nothing extreme. I think this says a lot about the synergistic quality of your supplements. I tell people all the time, you get what you pay for! I would say this pic tells it all. Vanna (missvancruise) 20 yrs young. After changing her diet and adding body work, she Rides like a 5 yr old! Prior to that, she has arthritis in her hocks and was lame periodically for 5 yrs.
