Description

Calming Horse Supplement | Moody Mares | Raspberry Leaves

Equine Challenge™ Pissy Mare herbal support for horses, wild crafted Red Raspberry leaves (Rubus idaeus). Wildcrafting is the practice of harvesting plants from their natural, or “wild” habitat, for food, medicinal, or other purposes. It applies to uncultivated plants wherever they may be found, and is not necessarily limited to wilderness areas. Ethical considerations are often involved, such as protecting endangered species. Calming Horse Supplement | Moody Mares | Raspberry Leaves

When wildcrafting is done sustainably with proper respect, generally only the branches or flowers from plants are taken and the living plant is left, or if it is necessary to take the whole plant, seeds of the plant are placed in the empty hole from which the plant was taken. Care is taken to only remove a few plants, flowers, or branches, so plenty remains to continue the supply.

Wildcrafted plants are regulated by The Organic Food Production Act of 1991. Harvesters must designate the area they are harvesting and provide a three-year history of the area that shows no prohibited substances have been applied there. A plan for harvesting must show that the harvest will sustain the wild crop. No prohibited substances can be added by processors.  The parts of this plant has been used for over a thousand years for more than just the tasty berries.

The leaves of this plants have traditionally been used to calm the females of many species to include the horse.

Traditionally, the leaves are used to increase or strengthen the uterine tone of pregnant mares and has been used to support the flushing or cleaning of the uterus post delivery.

The use of raspberry leaves has been used to calm the hyperactivity and aggressive behavior of mares in estrus. This would apply to young maiden mares to older brood mares. There are claims that raspberry leaves will help stallions with fertility issues.

The use of raspberry leaves is not encouraged or recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy due to possibility of miscarriage, but it’s use is encouraged for mares in the third trimester for ease of foal delivery.

Pissy Mare may help your mare be more comfortable during her cycles. If your mare is moody, cranky, or has hard cycles, this all-natural herb may help.

After speaking to you and Mackie and your suggestion to try this product I am happy to report that she is now able to expel this build up of fluid on her own. She had been on the product for 4 days and I was cleaning her stall I found she had expelled approximately a gallon of the pus. After 2 weeks of using Pissy Mare the vet was out to give her shots and checked her uterus, it was only the size of a softball. I was so relieved to know that she is able to contract enough to get this pus out on her own. No more beach ball size uterus and I can tell she feels better.
